TRAVEL INFORMATION
Traveling to Skyline Guest Ranch is an adventure in itself, offering stunning views of Yellowstone National Park and the majestic Beartooth Mountains along some of the most scenic and iconic roads in America. Please note that transportation is not included in package prices. However, we are happy to assist you in organizing and setting up transportation to the ranch, offering a range of options to suit various budgets and preferences.

1. Car Transfer
   Car transfers are available for those wishing not to drive. Prices vary depending on the airport.. We can assist in arranging shared transfers with other guests traveling to the ranch. Private and group transfers are available. For a mixed experience, you can also choose to take a helicopter to the ranch and return to the airport by car shuttle. We provide shuttle services from the following three airports:

   • Cody, Wyoming- $400 per direction 

   • Billings, Montana- $500 per direction 

   • Bozeman, Montana- $500 per direction 

2. Car Rental
   Renting a car for the week is our most popular option, offering flexibility and convenience. Prices vary depending on the rental company and vehicle type. Having your own car allows for seamless transportation into Yellowstone for day trip excursions and gives participants the freedom to explore the area during itinerary downtimes. We recommend that participants rent cars and drive to the ranch from one of the following three airports:

   • Cody, Wyoming (1.5 Hours) 

   • Billings, Montana (3 Hours)

   • Bozeman, Montana (3,5 Hours)  

3. Helicopter Transfer
   Experience the breathtaking beauty of Yellowstone National Park from above with a helicopter transfer. This luxurious option takes you directly from Bozeman Airport to the ranch. The cost is approximately $1,000 per person, per direction. It’s a splurge, but an unforgettable adventure!

SAMPLE ITINERARY
 

Day 1: Arrival & Welcome Dinner
Arrive at Skyline Guest Ranch, your home for the next four nights. After settling into your rustic yet comfortable lodge accommodations, surrounded by the breathtaking Beartooth Mountains, you’ll enjoy an elevated homemade dinner. This is your chance to meet your guides, go over the itinerary, and prepare for the unforgettable days ahead. Unwind with stories around the campfire under a blanket of stars. 
 

Day 2: Full-Day Yellowstone Wildlife Safari
The adventure begins early with a private guided wildlife safari in Yellowstone National Park. As the first light hits the valley, you’ll have prime opportunities to witness Yellowstone’s most elusive predators in action. After a morning of wildlife tracking, you’ll return to the ranch for a hearty breakfast and a short break before heading back into Yellowstone’s Northern Range for an afternoon of exploration. With expert guides leading the way, you’ll visit prime wildlife habitats and scenic overlooks, ensuring a full day of incredible encounters and breathtaking views. In the evening, return to the lodge to unwind with a warm meal and fireside relaxation.
 

Day 3: Choose Your Adventure
For those looking for a balance of horseback riding and sightseeing, set out on a half-day horseback ride through the Beartooth Mountains, riding through open meadows, alpine forests, and rugged trails before returning to the ranch for lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a scenic guided drive along the famous Beartooth Highway, stopping at breathtaking overlooks and searching for mountain wildlife. Alternatively, if you’re craving a full day in the saddle, you can opt for a full-day horseback ride inside Yellowstone National Park, venturing deep into the park’s backcountry for a truly immersive experience.

Day 4: Sunrise Safari & Scenic Exploration
Rise early once again for a sunrise wildlife tour in Lamar Valley, taking advantage of the prime wildlife viewing hours. After a morning of wildlife watching, you can choose between a guided hike through Yellowstone’s scenic backcountry, a visit to geothermal areas like Mammoth Hot Springs, or an excursion to the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, where the Lower Falls cascade into vibrant canyon walls. After one last incredible adventure, return to the ranch for one final meal before departure, capping off your Yellowstone experience in true Skyline style.
