TRIP ITINERARY
Day 1: June 8th, 2026
Arrival, Paradise Valley & Mammoth Hot Springs
Your adventure begins with pickup from Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport. From the moment you leave the runway behind, you are immersed in Montana’s wide-open landscapes as you travel south through Paradise Valley, flanked by the Absaroka and Gallatin mountain ranges.
Entering Yellowstone through the historic North Entrance, you will stop to explore the remarkable travertine terraces of Mammoth Hot Springs. Stretch your legs along the boardwalks as steaming mineral formations cascade down the hillside in constantly evolving shapes and colors.
From there, the journey continues east through the legendary Lamar Valley, one of the most wildlife-rich corridors in North America. As you travel toward Cooke City, your first glimpses of bison, pronghorn, elk, or even predators may unfold.
Upon arrival at Skyline Guest Ranch, settle into your accommodations and gather for a welcome dinner to kick off the week.

Day 2: June 9th, 2026
Sunrise in Lamar Valley & The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone
After hot coffee and a light breakfast at the ranch, you will head into Yellowstone in the pre-dawn stillness. As the sky lightens over the Lamar Valley, positioning is key. This is when the valley awakens. Bison move with calves. Pronghorn cross the sage. Coyotes and foxes patrol the hillsides. And if conditions align, wolves may be seen pacing the open terrain.
The morning focuses on observation and patience, allowing time to witness behavior rather than simply passing through.
A picnic lunch will be enjoyed in the park before transitioning to one of Yellowstone’s most dramatic landscapes: the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. The canyon’s vivid walls reveal the park’s complex geologic history in sweeping color and texture. Steam rises from hydrothermal vents in the cliffs while the Upper and Lower Falls thunder into the gorge below.
You will experience multiple overlooks and short trails, taking in the canyon from varying perspectives before returning to Skyline for dinner.
Day 3: June 10th, 2026
Geothermal Wonders & Yellowstone Lake
After breakfast, you will journey toward the southwest region of the park, where geothermal features dominate the landscape. Stops may include Grand Prismatic Spring, the Lower Geyser Basin, Old Faithful, and the West Thumb Geyser Basin along the edge of Yellowstone Lake.
Boardwalks weave through steaming basins, colorful microbial mats, and erupting geysers. The scale and variety of hydrothermal activity here are unmatched anywhere else in the world.
A late lunch along the shores of Yellowstone Lake offers time to reflect on the morning’s exploration before returning north through Hayden Valley. Keep watch across the open grasslands for movement as you make your way back toward Cooke City. Dinner awaits at the ranch.

Day 4: June 11th, 2026
Beartooth Highway & Red Lodge, MT
This morning offers a slightly slower pace. Enjoy breakfast at Skyline and take time to soak in the mountain setting before heading out on one of America’s most iconic drives: the Beartooth Highway.
Climbing to nearly 11,000 feet in elevation, this historic mountain road winds past alpine lakes, granite peaks, and sweeping tundra. With luck, mountain goats may be visible near the summit ridgelines.
Descending into Red Lodge, Montana, you will have time for lunch and a stroll through the historic downtown before returning to the ranch.
The evening features an early dinner followed by dessert around the campfire, often accompanied by live music and mountain air.
Day 5: June 12th, 2026
Sunrise Safari, Gardiner & Whitewater Adventure
Your final full day begins once again with a sunrise excursion into the Lamar Valley, offering one more opportunity to experience Yellowstone’s most active hours.
From there, travel west toward Gardiner, Montana, home to the historic Roosevelt Arch marking Yellowstone’s original entrance.
For those seeking an added element of adventure, a guided whitewater rafting excursion on the Yellowstone River brings a new perspective to the landscape.
The afternoon remains flexible for waterfall hikes, scenic stops, or revisiting favorite areas based on group interest and recent wildlife reports.
That evening, return to Skyline Guest Ranch for a farewell dinner celebrating a week immersed in Yellowstone.

Day 6: June 13th, 2026
Departure
After one final breakfast at Skyline, you will travel back through Yellowstone’s northern range toward Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport for departing flights.
The journey home traces the same landscapes that welcomed you, though by now they feel familiar.
